A thick white splendor and sparkling snow crystals make not only these routes a real experience. Even the less challenging routes offer plenty of skiing fun. Difficult routes are marked in black, slopes for advanced skiers have red signs. Red routes, for example, lead from the Alpincenter on the Kitzsteinhorn at 2,452 meters to the Gletscherjet 2 station at 1,976 meters. You can also ski directly from the summit station at 3,029 meters to the Häuslalm via a beginner’s route (blue marking). This descent is just one alternative from an incomparably diverse range of slopes that the ski area around Zell am See has to offer its guests. The Schmittenhöhe is a magnet for discerning ski enthusiasts from all over the world. On the 2,000-meter-high mountain, some of the jewels among the ski slopes of the Alps are presented. From the summit, you can ski via Schmittental to the outskirts of Zell am See. It doesn’t matter whether you prefer an ambitious style or are still shy because you have only been on the slopes for a few days.
